The defending champions complete another remarkable playoff run, led by goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky.

The Florida Panthers clinched their third consecutive Eastern Conference championship on Wednesday, defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-2 in Game 7 of the conference finals to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals for the third straight year.

Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 38 saves in the decisive victory, continuing a playoff performance that has drawn comparisons to legendary goaltending performances. The Russian netminder has a .941 save percentage through 18 playoff games.

"This team has developed a championship culture that shows in our biggest moments," said Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov. "Three straight finals appearances demonstrate that our success is not a fluke but a standard we have established."

The Panthers will face the Edmonton Oilers in the Finals, a rematch of the 2024 championship that Florida won in seven games. The Oilers defeated the Dallas Stars in their conference finals to earn the matchup.

Florida's run has been powered by their top line of Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk, and Carter Verhaeghe, who have combined for 45 points in the playoffs. The Panthers' power play has converted at a 32 percent rate, the best among remaining teams.

The series marks the first Stanley Cup Finals rematch since the 1970s, with Edmonton seeking redemption after falling short in their previous two appearances against the Panthers. Game 1 begins next week in Florida.
